Is it possible to set a Scan Response when using the Mesh SDK advertiser ?

I have browsed through the forum and i couldn't find a similar question, so here I ask :

I have an application running a modified example of the Mesh Client & Server merged together, I need to advertise packets, for that I saw that it is wiser to user the advertiser.c API that is in the mesh sdk. However I am able to successfully set the 31 bytes of the advertising data, but I can't figure any way to set a scan response.

Is it possible to set a scan response when using the mesh SDK advertiser, and if so, how ? Are there any links to some ressources ?

I am developing on a nRF52 DK, nRF52832, SDK 16.0 and SDK for mesh 4.0.0, with softdevice s132 v7.0.1

Hi,

I am afraid the advertiser (and scanner) functionality in the mesh stack of nRF5 SDK for Mesh does not support scan request and scan response packets, as that functionality is not required for Bluetooth mesh.

That leaves you with the option of using the nRF5 SDK functionality for advertising / scanning, and combining the nRF5 SDK for Mesh project with nRF5 SDK.
