Our application is currently based on the Nordic SDK services such as app_scheduler and app_timer. It is not possible to change this to use an RTOS do to regulatory issues.

Is it possible to customize the soft device size for our application?

Is it possible to customize the soft device size for our application?

The size of the a SoftDevice may not be changed - its size depends on the functionality it provides. However, you may be able to choose a smaller SoftDevice - this will depend on what functionality your application requires.
You can read about the different SoftDevice options for the nRF52 series here.

You can check your SoC's SoftDevice compatibility in its Compatibility matrix, for instance here you may see the nRF52840's compatibility matrix.
