NRF Mesh - Background running

Hi,

My board is currently using NRF52832 with SDK17.0.0 + Mesh 4.1.0.

I use NRF Mesh App for android to interact with the board. When never the phone screen is off, the app can not interact with the board. When the phone screen is turned on again, it can communicate with my board (a node in mesh).

How does my app can communicate with the board when its screen is off?

That is strange, as it should not really matter if the screen is on or off.

For the nRF Mesh app, there is very little that you can do without manually pressing buttons, which means the screen is typically on when you do things. What kind of interaction are we talking about, that stops when the screen is off?

Have you made your own custom app, and having trouble with that one? Are you communicating in a Service or from an Activity?

We are entering summer vacation season in Norway, and our Android experts are out-of-office. Answers to Android related questions may therefore take some more time than usual.
