window7 unable to recognize usb cdc driver.

hi Support team,

      I have one problem with window7 system both 32 bit and 64 bit, that the usb cdc driver can not be verified by windows, that software signature is not right or maybe damaged;

     Neither nrfconnect_driver_installer in "https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/pc-nrfconnect-launcher/tree/master/build/drivers/dfu_trigger_and_cdc_acm" nor driver in example\usb_drivers works 

      and I have tried all those method by devzone gave, None of them works.

Did you try to install the drivers manually? You can find them here:

update about the driver problem below.

for window7, most of the computer can install our driver(because of the .inf lost problem).

another problem now we are facing is, for end customer in hospital, most of the computers are window XP, can we update our drivers and provide it to the customers?

Windows XP? That OS has not been supported for many years (2009). I doubt that we have anything for that if what we already have isn't working.

If you insist, I can double check this, but it has been six months since I last looked into this. I don't really remember who I spoke to the last time, and I doubt that they will write anything for Windows XP. If the customer is big enough, I guess you would have to go through the sales channel to convince our management that this is something that we need to do.

that would helpful if you could take one minute to help to check if we have such driver for xp, at least I can have answer for customer;

and  I would give my dilemma to RSM, see what they can do for customer.

Hello William,

Our driver team said that we don't have anything specific for Windows XP. What we have is found here:

https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/pc-nrfconnect-launcher/tree/master/build/drivers

And it can be used to tweak to work with Windows XP. This was not something we intend to develop, and I don't know what changes it would take to work with Windows XP. Since it is deprecated (Windows XP) I don't even think I will find a computer with Windows XP to test on.
