I spent some time trying to combine example project ble_app_hrs_freertos and ble_app_uart so that I have a project with FreeRTOS that uses NUS bidirectional - without success. Also tried to strip down the usbd_ble_uart_freertos project to remove the USB but failed again.
I followed the tutorials at https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nordic-blog/b/blog/posts/adding-custom-commands-to-a-ble-example-using-nordic-uart-service and https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/short-range-guides/b/bluetooth-low-energy/posts/merging-two-ble-examples-together as also failed.
Is there a complete project that does this or a tutorial how to add NUS to a FreeRTOS example? I would like to use this as a starting point for a new project.
