Hi everyone,

I am using nRF52840 to prototype and I want on certain occations to disconnect the peripheral from the central. On of these occations is when I charge my device. I tried the following snippet on the main for(;;) loop but it doesn't work

Any advice?

It doesn't disconnected..

Do you at any point in time actually call sd_ble_gap_disconnect?

Yes,

And also at ble_evt_handler(ble_evt_t const *p_ble_evt, void *p_context)

We already know that the function is in your code, what we do not know is if it's ever called. 

Enter a debug session and verify that that sd_ble_gap_disconnect is actually called and that it returns NRF_SUCCESS.
