Gazell channel table and datarate - Settings for optimal reliability

We are considering using Gazell for an outdoor application, i.e. lots of noise and disturbances, constantly changing environment, where the amount data being transferred is very small (just bytes) and infrequent data transmissions - device will send to the host about once every 10s. We do need near 100% reliability of data reception and sub 50ms response. Device and host are about 1.5m apart and may have obstructions - not a perfectly clear line-of-sight, all the time.

Can you provide some initial guidance on channel table / datarates / other settings we could use that would provide a good starting point for us to test the reliability and response time of using Gazell?
