sd_flash_page_erase Hard Fault

I am trying to find out the issue with my nonvolatile driver. I currently try running

nrf_nvmc_page_erase((uint32_t)(page_address));

However, that doesn't seem to affect the system at all. There is no erasing of the page. Then I have tried

sd_flash_page_erase((((uint32_t)page_address) >> 10));

At which point I get a hard fault handler. I am using the s130 v1.0 and SDK 8.0. The softdevice is not enabled at this point.

It will always exit the infinite for loop, and even go on to the flash write, but no matter what, the data in that address never seems to change.

I am now no longer getting a hard fault(I updated my sdk headers a bit) however, the flash never changes.

The issue was that the GDB debugger would not refresh the data in the location I would like. Also, assigning or using variables directly also did not work. Unfortunately, if you would like to write your own driver you must use memcpy, otherwise the updated changes would not appear. This is undocumented.

i.e. this will work memcpy(&checker,((uint32_t *)address),4); if(checker != 0xFFFFFFFF){ __NOP(); }

and this won't checker = *((uint32_t *)address); if(checker != 0xFFFFFFFF){ __NOP(); }
