example application build fails out of the box

Environment:

1. nRF Connect for Desktop V3.4.1
2. Windows 10 clean machine
3. nRF SDK Tags v1.2.0 and v1.3.0 (tried both)
4.  Used TOOLCHAIN manager for tag V1.3.0
5. Used Getting started assistant for V1.2.0
6. Kit:  nRF52840DK

Issue: 

Firstly, I have setup the environment and downloaded the SDK using ToolChain Manger. It downloaded the V1.3.0 ncs. 
When I tried to build the asset tracker sample application, it failed. 

Then I switched to previous release tag V1.2.0. This time I used Getting started assistant since ToolChain manager is still Beta version. 
Again It couldn't build the out of box release application  Please find the error snapshot inline. 

At the end it displayed following error, 

I am expecting either V1.2.0 or V1.3.0 tag to work out of the box with UI. 
It would help me to accelerate my evaluation and kick start my design. 

Our POC design is gated by the software at this point. !

The asset tracker application is only compatible running on an nRF9160 (documentation)

Please try to run samples that are supported on the nRF52840 in NCS --> https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/examples.html
