nRF9160 modem firmware 1.2 upgrade fails

Hello guys,

Just received the Thingy91 and trying to upgrade the model firmware to v1.2 but it fails like this:

However I successfully been able to flash the modem firmware v1.1.3.

On the box, the device sticker says: Thingy91 1.0.2 2020.13

What should I do to fix this please?

The issue happens with the mfw_nrf9160_1.2.0.zip file, however it worked with the fw mfwnrf9160120.zip provided in the thingy91_fw_2020-04-29_bc7ade8b.zip

Hi Pierre,
Strange that you see different behavior between the two .zip files since they include the same files.
Could you compare the two .zip files as well on your side to check that you have the correct structure?

Anyway, good to hear that you at least got to update the modem firmware using the other .zip.

Tried another time and got no error this time, both zip files are actually identical. Feel free to delete the thread!
