Zigbee light bulb with energy measurement

Hello, first of all I am new to Zigbee.

I have read the Light bulb example, and now wondering on connecting it with some kind of power consumption monitor.
I want to create power socket with energy monitoring and a light.

1. Which cluster(s) will be appropriate ?
2. Light bulb examle bases on HomeAutomation, can I connect it with for example electrical measurement from ZCL ?
3. Any advise will be great - just looking for easier way to start.

Hi,

For general power consumption monitoring I recommend the Power configuration cluster. You can read the detailed information about the cluster attributes in the Zigbee Cluster Library specification which you can download from the Zigbee Alliance website.

Thanks for Your reply. I have checked the Zigbee light switch example with the sniffer, but there is only On/Off and Level Control cluster implemented.

Hi,

I am sorry I wrote some wrong information in my last post. The Zigbee light switch example does not implement the power configuration cluster.

If you want to integrate this cluster in your application you can do this by using the ZB_ZCL_DECLARE_POWER_CONFIG_ATTR_LIST or the ZB_ZCL_DECLARE_POWER_CONFIG_BATTERY_ATTRIB_LIST_EXT  macro.
