Is there a way to log bluetooth messages in the phone app? I have a bunch of messages that come but there is no history on the app that I can look at. Is there a to do this?

the phone app
What phone app - do you mean nRF Connect ?
Look at "Logging Bluetooth and BLE on Smartphones" in this article:
No I mean the nRF toolbox app which has the UART log. How can I share that log? Also, there are times the BT disconnects so again I want to know howI can save these ligs so when BT disonnects they do not get lost
I do not think that there is any logging mechanism in the nRF toolbox app that you can use to see any meaningful data apart from the UI in each of the sub category usecases.
It is better to use nRF Connect app and use the log data to view what is being received or sent.
If you are intending to automate something based on this data, then your scripts need to filter and extract the useful data from these logs. These logs are made preliminarily for viewing and any kind of automation needs some scripting efforts on your end.
