How pca10056 is auto detected for nRF52840 DK

Can you please tell how nRF Connect for desktop is automatically detecting DK as PCA10056 or PCA10100?

nRFConnect for Desktop has stored a specific range of SEGGER IDs that are reserved for the Nordic Development kit debugger chips. This way, it knows what DK (debugger chip) is connected and thus is able to recognize the different types of DKs.
