Question regarding BLE v5.1 PDU

Hi team,

My customer is evaluating BLE v5.1 technology and they find on the BLE v5.1 spec-> Chapter 6-> Part B->2.3.1 published by SIG. Seems that for CTE, it can only be advertised on extended adv channel, rather than the main channel, is that right?

Hi Leon

Yes, this is correct. For advertising channel PDUs, the CTEInfo Flag replaces the CP bit. The CTEInfo flag is within the extended header flag field of the advertising PDUs that employ the common extended advertising payload format. This is described in the Advertising channel PDU section of the RADIO chapter in the nRF52811/833 PS.
