How do I get the location of the base station?

GPS sometimes suffers from slow searches. I want to get the location of the base station.

I'm trying to send AT+CEREG? , then get

+CEREG: 1,"1D2C","0D61D950",9,,,"00000010","11100000"

tac:1D2C

ci:0D61D950

How do I figure out the location of the base station from this data?

Hi,

 

Based on the MNC/MCC (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_country_code), which you can get from AT+COPS?, and TAC + CellID (from AT+CEREG), you can potentially get the location using a 3rd party site, like opencellid. However; not all countries are mapping their base stations. The best approach is to ask your network provider if they have any options for tracking over their network.
