We plan to use NXP A1006 Secure Authenticator IC with Nordic nRF5340 SoC.

1. At tamper attempt, does nRF5340 provide means to detect the Tamper and erase the secret keys in the A1006?

 No, but you can always implement it yourself.

We plan to use nRF5340 for POS that has to be PCI/PTS compliant. Is there any reference design that you would recommend?

The only reference design we've got is the one in the Product Specification: Reference circuitry.
