Cant connect to network operator

I have been trying to connect to 4G using iBasis and other vendor's SIM card but have not been successful.

I have the nrf9160 DK two years ago and have been sparsely trying to get it up and running for some time. I remember that when I began testing it (a bit over two years ago) the board connected to the 4G network but for some time now it doesnt.

It states that I may have deleted a secret key that enables the device I am using to connect to the network. Would that be it? If so, how do I recover my device?

If that is not the issue, then I need some help to get the device to connect to the network (It cant even find any operators using AT+COPS? )

Hi Daniel,

Have you tried the latest application and modem firmware? (nrf9160dk_at_client_2020-04-29_bc7ade8b.hex and mfwnrf9160120)

NB: when choosing hex file select the one from the full image folder.

You can program the nrf9160DK using the nRF Connect - Programmer. 

Pleas update the Modem and try the latest AT Client example, then use the newest version of nRFConnect for desktop LTE Link Monitor to check if you are able to connect to any network.

If successful it should look something like this:


Now if you want to connect your device to the nrfCloud then you have to load the asset tracker example. 
If you all ready have the device registered to your nrfCloud account but it is still not working try the following:
Update certificates

What version of the DK do you have?

I have the latest modem firmware to date (1.2.0), however I will try downloading and programming the device with the files you are suggesting.

I have DK 0.8.2

I uploaded the modem firmware as such:

Then programmed the device with .hex image for at client located within the downloaded file.

Terminal:

Modem is non responsive. Yesterday I was trying to get it to work, and the terminal was flashing LTE yellow-red. however it never actually connected.

I loaded the file from "full" folder and the terminal is now responding correctly, and the LTE flashes yellow-red just like yesterday.

The issue has not yet been resolved. The device still wont connect to the network.

I left the device trying to connect to the network for some time and it is still not connected.
