ds18b20 temperature updates with beacon

Using oneWire library, I was able to get the temperature from the ds18b20. But it didn't work if I put the same code in the Beacon software.

I understand that the softdevice operation maybe the reason (since it affects the timing of the onewire code).

What is the solution for that?

Should I stop the softdevice before the temperature readout? and start it again right after?

I am afraid that the power consumption of this method would be too high

If this is just a simple beacon, then you can try to disable the advertising, do the ds18b20 measurement, and then enable the advertising again.

It still doesn't work. I even tried to remove the initial advertising_start() command to see if I get the status - but it is showing 0.000 instead of the real value.

Yes, I used that before and I saw that it worked. Then moved to check inside beacon...

 Sounds strange. What SDK version are you using ? What IDE are you using ? Segger ? I can add the onewire code to the beacon example if you want.

I tried SDK15-16-17. None worked

I am using Segger

If you can make one with SDK17, it would be great

Tested this with SDK 17.0, worked fine here:

Note that DS_PIN is set to pin 26 in ds18b20.c
