app_error_fault_handler called at pc = 0x104F0

I got an error at pc = 0x104F0 (id = 1, pc = 66800, info = 0). My code is advertising and doing nothing else except a timer for the LED flashing, so I'm not sure what could cause the error. I'm using sdk v16 and softdevice s112 7.0.1. It also only happens when I'm running in debug mode with IAR and JLink.

Any idea on what causes the error? Thanks

It happens because you've probably hit a breakpoint earlier, and that caused the softdevice to miss its BLE timing.

Workaround: Don't use breakpoints for debugging, or do a complete reset instead of "continue".

It didn't actually hit a break point but rather a condition of the break point. So I set the condition of the breakpoint as skipping the first occurence. Do you just skipping the occurence instead of hitting the breakpoint could cause the same effect?

The skipping cannot be done in hardware. Thus the µC core is stopped every time the breakpoint hits for a short time - enough for the SD to compain about it.

You may need to find another way to debug your code - or debug it with softdevice not enabled.
