IDE and example source code for nRF52840 SoC BLE

Hello, i would know about the IDE avaiable to develop codes for SoC Nordic nRF52840 and where i can find/download it

Moreover, where can i see examples code about BLE Client/Server application: i tried to do a research but actually not find any source code examples.

My goal is to develop code ti implement a BLE Client and so i'm interersted to use a properly IDE and begin from avaiable source code because i'm only now interfacing to ble applications.

Hello,

There are multiple options for IDE's available for use with the Nordic SDK. One of them is Segger Embedded Studio(SES) which is free to use whenever developing for the nRF52 platform, I find it very easy to use. For a full overview, please see this link.

The best approach is to download the SDK and try out one of their many examples included in the download.

BLE Client/Server application

 By this, do you mean something like the GATT Service Server/Client examples in our SDK perhaps?

Yes Simon: i would like to develop a Client BLE to exchange data with a Server BLE.

My idea is to start from an example with source code to better undestand the BLE API

As example i mean API like 

- ble_conn_params_init

- sd_ble_gattc_primary_services_discover

- sd_ble_gattc_characteristics_discover

- sd_ble_gattc_char_value_by_uuid_read

All API that allow to connect discover service/characteristic/read & write characteristic

Okay, I would suggest starting out by downloading our SDK and SEGGER Embedded Studios (links by GPL above). Then, take a look at the BLE peripheral and BLE central examples. We have multiple examples that are perfect for getting started. As for what you're describing, I think a nice starting point would be the ble_app_hrs and ble_app_hrs_c examples that includes the Battery and Heart rate measurement services/characteristics.
