Power transmission for human body certification

Hello,

First of all, i am really novice about certification and this NFR52832, and i guess that's why I have several questions about it.

  • A certification must be passed only if the emission power is higher than 20mW.

I see that in nRF52832_PS_v1.4.pdf page1: +4 dBm Tx power, also +4dBm in the TXPOWER register but up to 6dBm in p231 23.15.4 chapter. Is there something i misunderstood ?

So, considering 6dBm gives 4mW. I guess i do not have to make this kind of certification, am i correct?

  • More over,i should drive the module in continous emission (only the carrier) and a continous reception. How is it possible? Is there any mode included to produce such a behaviour?
I have seach on other post, i see that there might exist a radio_test example for this , i don't see any reference about it in the datasheet, could you please lead me to a post/web page or document to let me study this?

Thank you in advance,

A very small sub-set of nRF52832 devices can theoretically reach +6dBm output power in +4dBm mode, but the power that your antenna will radiate will be slightly lower than what the nRF52832 can output due to impedance losses.

That seems correct, but you should ask the governing regulatory body in question as only they can deal in the legalities surrounding their specifications.
