nRF52840 Bluetooth certification details

Hello,

 

I am using nRF52840 S140v7.0.1 and we are going for certification. I am bit confused with Bluetooth core version mentioned in Nordic certification and website.

 

In nRF52840 link its mentioned as Bluetooth 5.0.

For S140 v7.0.1 QDID is 138767

But, if I see in Launch studio its mentioned as Bluetooth 5.1

nRF52840 does not have AoA and AoD features. So whether nRF52840 is just Bluetooth 5.1 compliant for certification but does not have fully Bluetooth 5.1 features.

Please let me know more details on this.

Hi,

 

Direction finding is an optional feature of Bluetooth 5.1, just like Coded-PHY and 2Mbps PHY are optional features of Bluetooth 5. nRF52840 is 5.1 compliant, but does not enable all the optional features.
