I wonder about the difference in SDK version.

Hello! 
 
 I use the latest versions of sdk v17 and nRF52DK, nRF52840. 
 I refer to examples written by others as well as basic examples of SDK. But I don't know if I can use it as it is because the SDK version is different. 
 
 Now I would like to use an example of mpu-6050 at the address below.

 But this example is SDK v14. Can I use this example in SDK v17? Or is it better to use it in the right version? Is there any problem using not only sdk v14 but also other old versions?

It is a general thing in software engineering - not specific to Nordic - that a change in the major version number indicates breaking changes; ie, the changes are likely to break existing code.

 The larger the difference between version numbers, the more likely there will be problems. 
 I'd think it rather unlikely that v14 code will "just work" in SDK v17 - most likely, you will get build errors.
