Steps for FCC and CE Certification with the QDID

Dear Sirs

We are planning to have our end product certified by FCC and CE. It uses the nrF52840 SOC directly on our PCB. This has the following QDID :124988.

We have been told that since the QDID exists, we can do a reduced set of tests (for FCC and CE) for the end device, but are not sure how to proceed. 

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Hari_D,

The QDID is for Bluetooth certification, so nothing to do with FCC/CE certification. If you copy our reference layout (or if you use a 3rd party module) you can reuse the QDID for Bluetooth certification, but you still need to test against FCC/CE to verify that the product doesn't send out more output power than what is allowed to do.

I have essentially the same question, except I have an nRF24L01+. But I also needs to get through type approval CE and FCC.

Do you have the test reports? I think the relevant tests are EN 300 328 and 300 440 for EU. For US it is FCC part 15, I guess.

The nRF24L01+ is quite old so I don't think we have the test reports you are asking for, but we have some reports that could be useful for you. Please open a new private ticket with this question for us to be able to share the relevant information with you.
