About the procedure to write MCU boot & DFU & application on Windows

The application cannot write the app_update.bin on Windows.

How do I write with MCUboot & DFU & application?

dfu-util --alt 1 --download .\build_nrf52840dk_nrf52840\zephyr\app_update.bin

Invalid DFU suffix signature
A valid DFU suffix will be required in a future dfu-util release!!!
No DFU capable USB device available

Hi,

I have not found any references to dfu-util being used with any code Nordic supplies.

I assume you are using nRF Connect SDK? Are you doing DFU over USB or BLE? If so, how have you done this? Like the serial recovery described for the nRF Desktop? If so, or with other NCS approaches we support, mcumgr is the tool to use to perform DFU from a PC.

I was misunderstanding.
I thought that dfu-util could be used in NCS as well.
NCS uses mcumgr, right?
And that mcumgr is not compatible with Windows.
Try it on Linux & mcumgr.
