nRF52832 and SKY66112-11 PA/LNA usage in GATT and MESH

Hello,

I'm using nRF52832 and SKY66112-11 PA/LNA connected to increase the range. I'm using nRF5 SDK 17.0.2 and nRF5 SDK for mesh 4.2.0

I followed this guide to use PA/LNA both with mesh and with GATT.

Unfortunately, I expirience some issue with GATT connections when the PA is enabled. So I want to set the PA in bypass mode when using BLE GATT, and set high tx/LNA when using mesh.

Both mesh_pa_lna_gpiote_enable() and sd_ble_opt_set() accept two pins as parameters CRX and CTX, but I have also to switch CPS pin of the amplifier everytime I switch from high transmission mode/LNA to  bypass mode. I have to do runtime, but I don't know when BLE is sending msg on mesh and when it's using BLE GATT. How can I do to drive that pin? Is there another function in the SDK to use?

Hi,

I suggest you take a look at the SKY66112-11 Datasheet. CPS is pin 15, take a look at Table 1. SKY66112-11 Signal Descriptions and Table 6. SKY66112-11 Mode Control Logic.

Hi, I took a look at datasheet, and what I want to understand is how to drive CPS pin if I have to swith to 0 when I use mesh, to achieve high range, and to 1 when I use bypass mode to use GATT features.

You need to connect the CPS pin to a GPIO signal to control the mode.

Ok, I already connected the the CPS to a GPIO. The topic is how to drive that pin high in the timeslot when BLE GATT messages are sent, and drive low when BLE mesh messages are sent. I think that this task is very time constrainded, I think that is something for the radio layer, isn't it? is it implemented in the library? I hope to be clear in my explanation. thanks
