USB CDC ACM error in Windows 7

Hi,

I used SDK 16. softdevice: S140 v7.01. And set APP_USBD_VID and APP_USBD_PID to 0 at sdk_config.h

I follow this post of https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/38191/nrf52840dk-usb-cdc-driver-error/147320. I installed the USB CDC ACM correctly and it works fine..

I want to release my product to my customer. But the install steps are too difficult to my customer.How to make Windows 7 to install the USB CDC ACM driver automatically?

The days of Windows 7 are numbered. I'd just ask the customer when they intend to switch to Windows 10 instead.

On Win7 you would need a custom driver install program - not in the scope of this forum at all. You could try to build something around libwdi.
