nRF9160 dk + serial lte modem + gps

I am using a nRF9160 DK. I'm using a Windows 10 system and setup the SDK using nRF Connect.

I've started to experiment with the serial_lte_modem project -- version 1.3.1 using whatever the default settings are. Once I built the fw, I loaded it to the nRF9160 dk using the programmer tool. I also uploaded the modem fw 1.2.1.

I am trying to get GPS working. I have read through the link: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/55578/nrf-9160-serial-lte-modem#permalink=542581

Whenever I try to run one of the GPS commands subsequent commands do not seem to work. For example, one I enter something like:

AT#XGPSRUN?

then any command entered later on has no response. The response given for the gps command doesn't match the other post. I'm not sure how to proceed.

    I see that you're using a hologram roaming SIM.

    Entering one of the lower power modes, PSM or eDRX successfully, is required for the GPS to be able to run successfully while you have a LTE connection.

    Are you able to enter eDRX or PSM with hologram in your area? You can request PSM by using the AT+CPSMS command, and you should be able to get the intervals by issuing "AT+CEREG=5" and when you have attached fully to the network, issue a "AT+CEREG?" to get the connection details.

    You should now get two bit patterns back, to reflect if PSM is enabled.
