nRFgo Studio Doesn't Launch.

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

I installed the nRFgo Studio 1.18, 64 bit version on my machine: Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64-bit.

There was no problem during installation. However, it doesn't launch when I invoke the nrfgostudio.exe. It did appeared briefly in the "processes" list of the task manager, and disappeared shortly after. No error message has been thrown.

I also tried the 1.17 and 1.16 version which result in the same behavior: The .exe just doesn't launch...

Please help if you have a workaround.

you can try to start nRFgo Studio from the command line like this:

nrfgostudio.exe -nodefinitionupdate

There is no permanent fix for this I'm afraid. You could create a new shortcut which has the setting permanently set: Navigate to nRFgo Studio folder under Program Files/Nordic Semiconductor. Create a shortcut to the nrfgostudio.exe (rightclick->create shortcut), edit the shortcut and set Target to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Nordic Semiconductor\nRFgo Studio\nRFgoStudio.exe" -nodefinitionupdate.
