LF Clock / SoftDevice

Sorry to bring up a topic which seems to have been discussed already, but I don't see an answer to my specific questions.

The original design of my project was to have both crystals for there respective clocks. Now we are considering to drop the LF crystal. At first I thought it might be best to run the LF clock in synthesized mode. I am aware of the increased power consumption in this mode, but that does not play an important role here, we dont't run on battery. I have tested this with BT (used SoftDevice s140 7.0.1) and did not see any drawback. But than I found in the revision note for the SoftDevice s140 7.0.2, that "Synthesized low frequency clock source is not tested or intended for use with the BLE stack.". This is in fact not new, it appears in the release notes for all SoftDevice versions. Does that really mean I should prever the RC LF clock source over the synthethised mode?
