nRF52805 with UART support?

Hi

We are thinking about migrating a project to the nRF52805. One of our concerns was that the nRF52805 may have no "legacy" UART and only supports the UARTE, which is much more complex in usage.

Now we have studied the "product specification" of the nRF52805 and were surprised that there is the legacy UART listed while in the comparison table the UART is missing in the nRF52805.

So the question is: Has the nRF52805 a legacy UART or not?

Deprecated would mean that the hardware is still there, but we do highly recommend not to use it. But in your case, if it does not make sense to put extra resources to port an already working design on legacy UART, you can still access the module. 

You can ofcourse access the module which should still work (tested on my desk)

Thanks for the update. Did you test it on a nRF52 DK or on a real nRF52805 hardware? In what nRF52 SoC's is the legacy UART available? I think that for example the nRF52840 doesn't have one, right?

I tested it on the nRF52810 DK which has the same deprecated definition with UART legacy module as nRF52805. I am quite confident that you should see the same behaviour on nRF52805 as I saw on the test I did on nRF52810 DK
