nRF52833 DK not showing up as mounted device on macOS

I am trying to start developing on my nRF52833 DK using Segger embedded studios, but my board does not show up as a mounted device on my laptop (echoed by the fact that Segger can never connect the J-link). I am using macOS Catalina and connecting the board via a USB-C hub. Another person on my team is using that same setup and their board mounts to their computer without issue. I have seen mentions of drivers and a "toolchain" in the DK documentation, but haven't found what those specifically refer to. I assume they're necessary for my board to show up on my computer. Can anyone tell me what those drivers and "toolchain" are? Or if there are other things needed to get the board to play nice with my computer?

    Hello,

    Does your board work if you connect it to another computer? And have you tried to use another USB cable? Remember that some micro USB cables are only for charging, and doesn't contain any data wires.

    So try the following:

    Does another DK work with your computer? Does your DK work with another computer? Does your DK work with another USB cable?

    Please compare the switches on the DK with one of the working DKs, and make sure that the switches are in the correct positions, where the most important one is the power switch. 

    Does anything happen when you connect the DK to your computer? Does any LED light up?

    Turns out I was using a micro USB cable that was only for charging. It's working fine now. Thanks for the suggestion!
