nRF52840: short P0.18_nRESET and P0.17 ?

I'm working on an nRF52840 design where we may get away with only the outer pin row on the package.

However, one pin on the inner row of harder to reach pins seems important. That is P0.18_nRESET. Its neighbor P0.17 is easier to reach. My question is if it safe to reach P0.18 by permanently shorting it to P0.17.

Thanks,

Børge

  • Hello,

I started checking internally, and there are some concerns that P0.17 may be driven low in corner cases during power on/reset, considering this is slightly out of intended operation I don't think I can't push for them to make the simulations to give a bullet proof answer. Maybe you can consider using the nRF52833 instead?
