s120 central, how much peripheral devices?

Hello! How much maximum of peripherals devices can be observed by the one central devices?

  • Hi,

I am not sure exactly what you are asking for, so I will list the best related limitations for S120 2.0.0:

    • The S120 can be connected to up to 8 peripherals and scan for a 9th while in these connections.
    • It can have 8 addresses and 8 IRKs in its whitelist, if you want to observe a limited number of devices.
    • There is no limitations on the number of devices you can observe, except RAM/flash resources that can limit you.

Did that answer your question? If not, feel free to clarify your initial question.

  • If I recall correctly, the S120 has 1 TX buffer per connection always, so there is no risk of starvation due to one link being more active. However, at the very lowest of connection intervals you risk having the connections overlap slightly, forcing the stack to make a choice on who which will get serviced. In that regard they might interfere a bit.
