Nordic cryptocell 310 using nrf52840-dk

Hello, I am a bit confused with the ARM Cryptocell 310 engine. As I can see this software is proprietary but in nrf5 sdk there is the cryptocell engine as external library (i.e .a). I am using zephyr withe nrf 52840-dk and I am interested to integrate the cryptocell engine to zephyr, can I do that using nordic's .a files. Should I buy some license from Nordic or ARM for the engine? I have already checked to ARM but I can not find any files to download in order to integrate this library to my project.

Hi,

The CryptoCell IP is part of the nRF52840 IC, and Nordic pays ARM to include that IP. You do not need to pay ARM (or anyone else) to use that or the accompanying software as it is part of the cost when you pay for the IC itself. You can find documentation for the relevant libraries for Zephyr/NCS here.

Thanks, Therefore, I can somehow integrate the code of the crypto examples of the nrf5 sdk to the zephyr project using the nordic cryptocell 310 library. I just have to link the library to my project
