Is there any restricted access to the peripherals while working at 1.8

Hi,

We are planning to design a custom based on nrf51822 with 1.8v power supply. we just want to know is there any restriction towards accessing peripherals on chip like restricted access to some peripherals while using softdevice or using 1.8v power supply will provide same access as that of 3.3v power supply.

We didn't find any information regarding from the data sheets. What are the things to keep in mind while designing 1.8v power supply custom board using nrf51822.

  • The datasheet seems very clear - 1.8V is the minimum operating voltage for the chip with LDO and 1.75v with the low voltage setup (1.8v listed as typical still in that case), and there are no restrictions listed whatsoever. Also it lists resource requirement for various blocks and the only one which even needs the 1v7 power is the CPU, nothing else needs more than the 1v2.

I see no room for doubt there, 1.8v is a perfectly acceptable voltage.
