Difficulty downloading Keil Pack for the BMD-340-EVAL (dead web page)

I am trying to develop a first eval / test program for the BMD-340-EVAL evaluation board using Keil. However, I don't seem to be able to download the required Keil pack. Other threads on this site seem to be 3+ years ago so I am trying to get more recent info. When I follow the link at Keil I am sent to

http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF5_SDK/pieces/nRF_DeviceFamilyPack/NordicSemiconductor.nRF_DeviceFamilyPack.8.35.0.pack

which appears to be a non-working page.

Is there an alternate URL that would allow me to down the necessary packs to allow me to develop with Keil for the BMD-340?

Thanks in advance

Mike

  • First - I appreciate your quick response and the link to the specific pack I needed. Thank you! Many companies are not so prompt.

However, one would hope that going to the Keil web page you noted would be the best way. However, the web pages that Keil points to (at Nordic) are dead pages.  I have to assume at one point they were accurate but over time the information has apparently moved and Keil was not notified. Looking over the links at Keil -- it was not even obvious which link was associated with the 8.35 pack. I would even guess there is not a link to it at all -- not even a dead link.

After more searching I did find an interesting Nordic web page that had a long list of current and old packs. That web page is  https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF5_SDK/pieces/nRF_DeviceFamilyPack/

I was able to get what I needed from there.

BTW, the documentation for this product has lots of URLs that are pointing to dead pages. For example, the page at

    https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fug_nrf52833_dk%2FUG%2Fnrf52833_DK%2Fintro.html

Has a link labeled  "Down Load User Guide"  That link is dead. I did in eventually find the user guide though I don't recall where or how I found it.

    I can go on.

I know keeping links accurate can be difficult but as a (new) user to your products it is extremity frustrating during the learning curve to be presented with a series of dead links to documentation.
