I see that this soft-device is not supported for v8 of the SDK - has it been dropped entirely?

Hi there,

No, this has not been abandoned. An S310 v3.0.0, which aligns the S310 to version 8.0.0 of the S110 is currently being developed and should be released soon. An SDK will be released alongside with support for it.
