nRF52810 RF PHY certification

Hi! I'm developing an augmented wearable project using Bluetooth (eg., Smartwatch). I'm planning to use the nRF52810 chip for it. We are just going to add a couple of sensors to the module and put it on a PCB board and connect it to a mobile application. It is in the development state. I have some doubts about the board certifications.

It is clear to me that I have to get Bluetooth SIG certification for my project, but I'm not sure about RF PHY certification. I can find the RF PHY test results for nRF52840 but not for nRF52810.

Is the nRF52810 module is RF PHY certified?

Do I have to RF PHY certify my project anyway? Thank you.

nRF52810 is certified with certain Softdevices, see this: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/comp_matrix_nrf52810/COMP/nrf52810/nrf52810_ble_qdid_qual_matrix.html?cp=4_5_2_4

 

When you list your product, you should choose the path "with no required testing" and reference the corresponding QDID from the link above. We still recommend that you carry out a simple RF-PHY test of your design though, to be sure and have proof that your design is compliant. This should be much less expensive than carrying out a full certification.
