nRF Connect SDK with CrossWorks (rather than SES)?

I have been using CrossWorks for a while for multiple vendors MCUs (sometimes in the same project on the same PCB).  I'm looking at using nRF Connect SDK and see that SES is recommended.  It appears that SES is a version of CrossWorks.  Are there any known issues with using CrossWorks instead of using SES?

Hi,

The nRF Connect SDK (NCS) uses a special version of SES, which has some additions that allows it to open NCS's CMake based projects.

As far as I know, it is not possible to open CMake based projects in the regular version of SES, nor CrossWorks.

That's unfortunate.  Would be great if CrossWorks was a superset of SES and Nordic SES for those of us that need to target multiple vendors products and are paying Rowley for support...
