nRF5340 OpenThread example project

Good Afternoon,

I recently got an nRF5340 PDK kit and would like to get OpenThread examples for this board.

If possible I would like to demo the OpenThread CLI example.

Currently, Zephyr OS does not have any support for NRF5340 as per its documentation.
It would be great if you can point me in the right direction regarding the same.

Thread on the nRF5340 is not yet supported. To learn more about our roadmap, you should contact your Regional Sales Manager.

If you do not know how to contact your RSM, you can send me a private message with your location, and I will provide the contact information.

Alternatively, you can use the nRF52840 or nRF52833 instead.

Hi,

It's 5 months since the last response.  Is Openthread currently supported on nrf5340?

I used ​v1.5.0 of ​https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf.  In ncs/nrf/samples/opentherad/cli, I am able to build for nrf5340pdk_nrf5340_cpuapp, load it on the board and see output.  However, I cannot seems to be able to connect the thread network running the image from "nRF5_SDK_for_Thread_and_Zigbee_v4.1.0" on nrf52840 dongle.

 Yes, see the release notes for NCS v1.5.0:

"Added production support for nRF5340 for Thread in single protocol configuration, and development support for Thread in multiprotocol operation with Bluetooth LE."
