Using eSIM

We are in the initial stage of development of a product that will be shipped in different countries and different customers.

We would like to use an MFF1 or MFF2 eSIM for reliability, and yet let the customer free to  select any network provider.

Basically we would ship the product with a blank MFF1/2 eSIM and let the user proceed with the registration.

Can you give us any information about how to achieve this with the nRF9160.

For example, in Italy, you can ask TIM (TelecomItalia) to give you a QR-CODE to register your phone (with MFF eSIM) with their network; as far as I understand you will need a WiFi connection for the activation. TIM is currently the only operator in Italy to offer this service.

If i understand correctly Thales (www,thalesgroup.com) has a service that allows an initial connection used to allow the registration with different providers.; have you ever tried compatibility of their eSIMs/service with the nRF9160.
