nRF51822-Development-Kit power supply and software download

Hi, I've received the nRF51822-Development-Kit, this morning and I can't download any software to the boards.

I've install keil uvision 4.71.2.0, nRFgo Studio and the J-link driver. supply 3.3V to the board using connector P1-pins 1&3, and connector P2-pins 1&2.

I'm trying to download to the PCA1004/5 one of the examples code "Blinky project". and I'm getting error message: "Device not found".

did I miss anything? is it possible to work with nRF51822DK without the motherboard? what is the correct device for the project?

If you take a look at the hardware files for the development kit, you can find schematics for the board. As far as I can see, everything should be working correctly if you connect pin 2 on K2 to GND and pin 2 and 3 on K1 to VCC, ~3.3 V. Pin 2 on K1 is sufficient to get the chip running, but you need to conenct pin 3 as well to make the Segger see the voltage.

When I test this, I'm able to program the chip with nRFgo Studio as usual.

Hi, you need some how to power development kit and also to connect GPOS if you want to interact with external hardware. We ended with the same problem and this is why developed this main board. You can give it a try. It will power your dev kit and will allow you to interact with external world.
