possibility of using a-gps NRF Cloud/AWS

Hello,

I am developing on the NCS 1.4.0 and on a NRF9160DK. I am working on the asset_tracker example and I noticed that the code sends an assisted gps request to NRF Cloud, is it possible to do the same with AWS. If not, is there another solution?

In addition, the modem switches to PSM when searching for a GPS fix, does this keep the MQTT connection established?

Hi Lecozahu,

Like it is descried in the A-GPS sample documentation: 

"The A-GPS sample demonstrates how the nRF Cloud Assisted GPS (A-GPS) feature or an external SUPL client can be used to implement A-GPS in your application. The sample uses the generic A-GPS library, which allows the selection of different A-GPS sources via the CONFIG_AGPS_SRC_SUPL configurable option. By default, nRF Cloud is used for A-GPS and cloud communication."

The MQTT connection is still valid even if the modem is in PSM mode, unless you manually modify the code to close the socket before the modem goes into PSM mode.
