How much effort to switch an application from nRF52832 to nRF52840

Hello,

how much effort would it take to switch an application from the nRF52832 to the nRF52840 chip?

What we want to do is, we have a running application with the nRF52832, now we need more flash space for future improvements of our product and want to use a nRF52840 module, but at first with our old application. So the question for us is, is it a big deal to switch to that controller, because of a different softdevice or api or stuff like that?

Depends how tightly-bound your code is to the specific features of the nRF52832.

Many of the SDK examples have both nRF52832 & nRF52840 versions - so you could get a feel by looking at them ...
