No more sensor data on enabling libc

Hi,

I'm just starting out with zephyr on a nrf52dk (nrf52832) and I'm in need of performing some math functions on the data output on a mpu6050.

The MPU6050 is spitting out data fine with the sample code, but when I include math.h it doesnt find the functions atan or sqrt. I found online to include newlib (CONFIG_NEWLIB_LIBC) in the config file, but as soon as I do that and reload the project in SEGGER there is no longer any data coming out of the mpu6050.

Can somebody guide me in the right direction on how to solve this? Am I missing some configurations settings?

Hi,

What NCS version are you using?


Check out the External lib example and look at this https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/zephyr/application/index.html#application-cmakelists-txt 

Do you get any warnings when compiling?

Does your prj.conf look like this ?

CONFIG_I2C=y
CONFIG_SENSOR=y
CONFIG_MPU6050=y
CONFIG_MPU6050_TRIGGER_NONE=y

#include extra libs
CONFIG_NEWLIB_LIBC=y

Thanks for your response Jonathan, I will look into external library. I thought newlib was included and only needed to be called in prj.conf, but i will try to add it manually.

I'm using NCS 1.4.0

my prj.conf file is the same as what you suggested. (no compile warnings)
