Memory issue

Hi,

We are using NRF52832 MCU for one of our BLE based project.

We are running out of memory when specific operation performed. Buffer crashed. 

What is minimum setting we can apply for stack and heap area under run time memory section?

Current setting is attached. Can you please provide information how much heap and stack memory used by BLE stack?

Hello Mihir,

The SDK examples does not use heap, so you can set it to zero unless you use malloc/free in your application. Size of the call stack is application dependent as it is shared between app and Softdevice. Worst case stack usage for the SD alone is 1.5 KB.

You may use the Stack guard module like it's used in the Command Line Interface (CLI) Example to catch stack overflows.

 Can you show an example of this? Does it lead to a hardfault exception? Where is the buffer placed in RAM?
