Assistance with Thingy:91

I was thinking of using the nordic thingy:91 for monitoring purposes in seismic areas.

To this aim, I would need to have some sensors deployed in the environment which:

- are battery powered

- are able to share data by using a SIM card for connectivity

- allows for easily reatriving data by a remote PC, for example using REST api (or other kinds of web services).

Can you confirm that the thingy:91 satisfy all these requirements? In particular, how data may be retrieved? REST api may be used? Also, in Italy we do not have LTE-M coverage, only NB-IoT. May this be a problem? Thank you for your assistance

-The Thingy:91 is battery powered, with a rechargeable Li-Po battery with 1440 mAh capacity.

-The Thingy:91 is able to share data using a SIM card that supports either NB-IoT or LTE-M. There should be no problem using NB-IoT. The limitations of NB-IoT are mainly that it was developed for stationary devices, so it isn't capable of a seamless handover between cells. If your device will be moving between network cells a lot, this could become a problem. It also isn't good for applications requiring low latency, i.e when a device needs to respond within milliseconds. 

-The Thingy:91 is easily connected to our cloud solution, nRF Connect for Cloud, and you can easily retrieve the data on your computer using the nRF Connect for Cloud Device API. We also have samples in NCS (nRF Connect SDK) that let you connect to Azure IoT Hub and AWS IoT, and to an MQTT broker. These samples are written for the nRF9160DK but can easily be ported to the Thingy:91.
