Battery and power management for NRF52840

Hello,

I want to develop a new IOT product using the NRF52840. My device will be using the MCU with BLE and a very low power sensor.

I want to use a 3.7V one cell battery.

I want to know if I need any kind of PMIC or regulator to plug the battery and also how do I charge the battery if I don't use a PMIC.

Could you also give the consumption for the chip in normal use.

Thank you for your quick answer. 

I'm getting more and more interested by this MCU and thus I need more informations.

Could I use an accelerometer in low power mode to turn on the MCU : I shake my device and then it starts.

Is that possible ?

Yeah that's not a problem, you only need to configure the accelerometer and then go to sleep, which is either System OFF mode or System ON mode(Idle). 

There are examples that show how you can enter sleep and wake on pin.
