Trying to use nordic_nrf_temp in Zephyr open thread

I have the driver setup like all of the other sensor drivers I'm using, but I can't seem to find a device tree or Kconfig 

This should be enabled by the CONFIG_SOC_NRF52840_QIAA=y enabling config HAS_HW_NRF_TEMP

Do I need something in the board overlay, dts or ????

Hi,

Have you set the CONFIG_TEMP_NRF5? The TEMP sensor is used in the Bluetooth HT sample, so you should be able to use this as a reference.

Yes, that was the missing piece, hard to search for something when you don't know what you might be looking for.for the record if someone else find this, the example uses, pretty sure they are the same.

Wanted to add something, with the latest version of nrf connect and zephyr I get a warning that mpls and nrf5 temp are incompatible. The good news is the mpls is MUCH easier to use, no sensor or driver work needed....

This is correct, TEMP is owned by MPSL and you need to use the mpsl_ API to get the temperature. TEMP is used for calibration of temperature-dependent resources, like the LFCLK.
